Found this image a while back on the late Barbara Irwin’s page on Liberal, Missouri (no longer maintained). A nice photo that shows people milling about the depot, which one doesn’t often see in these small town depot shots.
Would this be the depot located directly across from Liberal’s public park?
As a small boy I was once dropped off at that station in Liberal (during WWII) back when it still had the ornate roof trim in this photo. My grandfather and an uncle picked me up for a long weekend visit. Thanks for this postcard view — the only photo I had previously just showed the building as it looked after “modernization” with the trim removed and the roof replaced. And no traffic.
