There are discrepancies as to these dates, just as her brother, Michael Tearance KEARNS, is given a number of different birth dates.

Elizabeth died at 11:40 P.M., September 15, 1932. Her death certificate states she was living at 750 S. Broad St. in Mobile, and had been there 19 years. The informant was a daughter, Mrs. F. POLLMAN, who also lived at 750 S. Broad St.

Elizabeth’s death certificate gives her birth date as October 12, 1861, which is a false date. The 1870 census gives it as October 12, 1854. (And yet the 1860 census records her as being 8 years of age.) Corinne and Brother Chas REYNOLDS are given as having taken out an insurance policy on Elizabeth, and they took a few years off her date of birth in order to qualify.

Elizabeth was buried at Catholic Cemetery.

Peter REYNOLDS, b. April 1849, was from Roscommon, Ireland. The 1870 census gives him as 21 and living at a boarding house in Dallas County. He was a carriage painter. Place of birth was given as Virginia. The 1900 census lists him as a gardener, residing at Davis Ave. He died 24 March 1913 at about 64 years of age.

Elizabeth and Peter had 6 children:

1) Mary Catherine REYNOLDS, b. Sept. 1879, died of tuberculosis 17 Sept. 1912 in Mobile, AL at about 33 years of age, married Ed RIDGLEY. Their son was John Edward RIDGLEY.

2) John Terrance REYNOLDS, b. 21 Jan 1883, died 12 Dec. 1951 at about 68 years of age, married, in Jackson, Tennessee, Mary Phobe CORNELL who was born 1886, and died December 9th, year unknown. Their son was John Terry REYNOLDS.

3) Corinne Ann REYNOLDS, b. 7 Jan 1884, died of a heart attack 19 April 1953 at about 69 years of age in Mobile, AL., married at St. Joseph Church, Mobile AL., 22 Oct. 1913, Frederick J. POLLMAN, b. 25 Jan. 1881, died 25 June 1958 at about 77. Their children were Fred POLLMAN, Mary POLLMAN and Chase Pollman.

4) Charles Peter REYNOLDS, born 13 June 1887, died 9 January 1960 at about 73., married in 1927 Marie FORD who died 18 Dec. 1940. They had no children.

5) William Anthony REYNOLDS was born 13 June 1890 and died 18 June 1891.

6) Edward Joseph REYNOLDS was born 22 Nov. 1893 and died of leukemia 28 Sept. 1903 at 10 years of age.

* * * * * * * * * *

THE CENSUSES

1880

1880 AL, MOBILE CO, KOSTERS

ancestry.com image 18
112 D
153 REYNOLDS Peter wm 34 Farmer b.
